It's a pretty cool demo... my favorite tracks are actually the last three.... "Contact", She Don't Love You", and "Forever More"

Here's a one obscure and out of print hard rock record I'd like to mention. It's Dirty Fantasy by German (Berlin) band S.A.D.O. , which made three good hard rock records in the 80's. This is their second record and I think it's very good. Sleazy hard rock with a touch of Alice Cooper, a touch of AC/DC and a little metal and very good songs with decent lead guitar. Give it a listen, there are worse records praised here. Laughing

GAMMA - Live at The Old Waldorf 1978
This is a great show from Ronnie Montose's band Gamma. This one was kind of a holy grail of sorts,
had it on cassette and parts of it got recorded over. Found it recently. This is a much better show than the "Concerts Classics"
show that Gamma's label tried to release. I'm not usually a fan of synth rock but this was a great band
and this is a great show with really good guitar playing. Highly recommended.

Back in 1988 Bon Jovi intended to release a double album as a follow up to the multi-platinum juggernaut "Slippery When Wet". The record company got nervous about the higher price point and decided they would only release a single album. Well as this demo of the complete sequenced proposed double album shows, the record company was wrong.

Archangel: Glenn Danzig wrote this song in 1981 for Dave Vanian of The Damned. Vanian was supposed to sing with The Misfits backing him up. They rehearsed together twice, but did not record anything. However, Glenn and possibly Jerry recorded the song at Mix-O-Lydian Studio in 1981. Glenn's original drum and guitar tracks were preserved and re-used on the Samhain version in 1984. Glenn first mentioned that the song was recorded in an interview in "Tales From The Crypt" fanzine in 1982, stating, "It's all recorded except for Dave's part if he gets around to doing it. If not Jerry will do it instead."

KRYST THE CONQUEROR-Deliver Us From Evil

This was Jerry and Doyle from the Misfits' metal project in the late '80s. They didn't have a singer, so they hired Jeff Scott Soto to do the vox on it. They never toured. Drums were done by a guy called The Murp, and then Dr. Chud joined, who also played with them in the Newfits.

Their schtick was that they were a Christian act, and wanted to fight the darkness of Danzig's music with the light of their own. They even said that in a press release, it was lame.

Anyway, usually what you find floating around is an EP, but this is the full album. Never officially released. Trivia--Dave "Snake" Sabo plays lead guitar on track 12, "Trial of the Soul." More trivia--Jerry said he gave a copy of the Kryst the Conqueror tape to Metallica a couple years before The Black Album came out, and claims they got the idea for "Wherever I May Roam" from the Kryst the Conqueror song "Wherever I Roam." He's probably right.

Power Metal was a demo recorded sometime in April 1982. Although the demo was never officially released, it was given the bootleg name Power Metal and contained four original songs by Metallica. It also contained "The Mechanix", which was the first song for the band written by Dave Mustaine and "Motorbreath", which was written solely by James Hetfield.

No Life 'Til Leather
No Life 'Til Leather is Metallica's widely circulated demo tape featuring Dave Mustaine on lead guitar. All the tracks are early recordings of songs that would later appear on the band's Kill 'Em All album. The track listing on Kill 'Em All is the same as that on the demo tape, save the addition of Cliff Burton's bass solo "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth", "Whiplash", "No Remorse" and "The Mechanix" (the latter of which was re-written by Metallica as "The Four Horsemen").

The demo has been re-released twice so far unofficially, first under the title of Metallica—Bay Area Thrashers, and was alleged to be a live bootleg recording of Metallica in the early days, however all 'live' sounds had been added from various sources including the Metallica video Cliff 'Em All. Soon this was discovered by Metallica and all copies were removed from stores. The second time it was re-released was under the title Metallica—In the Beginning... Live, which is exactly the same as Metallica—Bay Area Thrashers, but simply with a new title.

This is the most well-known Metallica demo, showing the band's New Wave Of British Heavy Metal roots very clearly. The tracks are quite similar to the final versions on Kill 'Em All, apart from the modified lyrics for "The Mechanix" and "Jump In The Fire". "The Mechanix", a Mustaine written composition, turned into Metallica's own "The Four Horsemen". Mustaine recorded his own version of "The Mechanix" on Megadeth's debut album Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! The album, along with two other songs, can be found floating on many peer-to-peer networks under the moniker "One Last Visit".

Megaforce is an early demo recording by thrash metal band Metallica. The band's lineup for the demo was James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, Cliff Burton, and Lars Ulrich. This was the band's last recording with Dave Mustaine and the only recording featuring both Dave Mustaine and Cliff Burton.

Officially, the demo did not have a title, but it is known by various names, including Megaforce, as it was the demo recording that led to them being accepted in Megaforce Records; the KUSF demo, as it was played on San Francisco radio station KUSF; and the Whiplash/No Remorse demo, due to the track listing.

The demo was also recorded to familiarize new bassist Cliff Burton with studio recording.

Ride the Lightning Demos
This demo was recorded on October 9, 1983 and contained the original material Metallica had written that did not make it onto Kill 'Em All. Two of the tracks had already been released on the band's Horsemen Of The Apocalypse demo. Both "Ride the Lightning" and When Hell Freezes Over (later re-named "The Call of Ktulu") were partially written by Dave Mustaine. Both "Fight Fire with Fire" and "Ride the Lightning" had been changed from their original version due to input from Cliff Burton. In 2005 several other demos surfaced on bootlegs and the songs on the bootlegs were recordings and re recorded demos. though only one demo has been declared official out of the seven of the demos that surfaced. "Trapped Under Ice" was confirmed as an official demo.

Master of Puppets Demos
This demo was recorded on July 14, 1985 and was essentially a rehearsal more than it was a demo but was released nevertheless. The demo included five songs that were taken ahead to their next album however had two takes of the song Disposable Heroes.
